Background

I've always loved interiors, but every time I searched for home styling advice, I found American content — dollars instead of pounds, stores that don't ship to the UK, and aesthetics built for open-plan houses rather than Victorian terraces and rented London flats. British Home Interior is the resource I wished existed when I was styling my first flat on a graduate salary.

I'm not a professional interior designer. What I bring is genuine enthusiasm and a lot of hands-on trial and error — testing real products and layouts, and being honest about what actually works in a real British home versus what only looks good on TV makeover shows.

What I actually do for this site

• Research and, where possible, test ideas before recommending them — prices and availability checked against UK retailers (Dunelm, IKEA UK, Next Home, John Lewis, Wayfair UK, B&Q, Homebase, Amazon UK)
• Write every guide around British housing realities: period features, tenancy restrictions, and real GBP budgets
• Update posts when prices or product availability change, rather than leaving stale information live
• Reply personally to every message sent through the contact page
